EKI supported the high school project

During regular schooling, students of the Public High School Center in Trebinje, through various subjects, connect classroom and extracurricular activities, showcasing their knowledge and creativity. The "Recycling" project, initiated in the first half of this year, is an excellent example of how their efforts and work can be demonstrated through the integration of different activities.

As part of practical classes, a series of activities related to the chosen practice of the exercise company – "collecting raw materials and recycling" – were carried out. Within this project, students visited primary schools in the Trebinje area. Workshops and thematic quizzes were held where ninth-grade students had the opportunity to learn interesting facts about recycling and environmental protection. Through their knowledge in the quiz, they had the chance to win prizes for their schools.

EKI supported and participated in this project as a sponsor. Twelve metal bins for sorting paper waste and six bins with lids were procured, to be distributed in the classrooms of the high school. T-shirts with the EKI logo were provided for the students and teachers. The ninth-grade students won three high-quality globes for their schools, also sponsored, which will remain as teaching aids in the future.

The school administration emphasized that EKI's support in implementing this project was not only financial but also moral in nature. It showed the students that good ideas are understood and easily achievable. Besides the invaluable experience gained and knowledge shared, they demonstrated how collective efforts can contribute to a better and brighter future for all. We hope to see more projects like this.
