Success Stories of Clients – Branko Janjilović
Branko Janjilović from Stanari has been working as a train dispatcher for 27 years, but his heart has always belonged to the countryside. Born and raised in a village, he never wished for a different life. On the contrary, he turned his love for agriculture into a second job – raising bulls for fattening, as well as sheep and pigs.
Although he started this work out of love for nature and a healthier lifestyle, over time his “after-hours” efforts began to generate significant income for him and his family. Branko makes his own silage and provides feed for the livestock, purchasing only what he cannot produce himself. He primarily raises animals to meet his household’s needs, but when there’s a surplus, he easily sells them on the market.
For Branko, a healthy household is the foundation of a happy family, which is why he continuously works to develop and improve his farm. In the coming period, he plans to expand production from his own livestock because he believes that the village can offer a secure future to anyone willing to work. His advice to young people is not to turn their backs on the countryside, but to build their future there.
Branko believes that investment is essential for developing any business. That’s why he used a loan from the EKI Microcredit Foundation to improve his farm. He sees persistence and continuous learning as the keys to success – regularly educating himself and staying up to date with the latest trends and methods in livestock and agriculture.
EKI Business Club
The free advertising service offered by the EKI Business Club has further helped him sell his products. “The essence of it all is that it makes it easier for a person to sell what they produce. You just publish an ad, and people start calling from everywhere,” says Branko, confirming that hard work and dedication always pay off.
